2019 Pride Tournament

Vancouver Pride Classic 2019 – August 1, 7:30 pm to August 3, 9:00 PM

The Vancouver Pride Classic Hockey Tournament returns in 2019 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Cutting Edges Hockey Club!

The tournament will take place over Vancouver’s Pride Celebrations. There will be lots of time to enjoy the festivities, including marching in the Vancouver Pride Parade on Sunday August 4 along a waterfront parade route in North America’s most beautiful city. Tournament social events and a banquet will be included.

Player Fee $140 (Early Bird) $160 (Regular)

Guest Fee $40

The Player fee includes hockey (guaranteed 3 games), gift bag, t-shirt, and entrance to the banquet.

The Guest fee includes entrance to the banquet.

Team and individual registrations welcome. Organizers may adjust rosters to ensure competitive play if needed.

*No refunds will be issued after July 1, 2019.

  • Games: Thursday August 1st – Evening, Friday August 2nd – Day, Saturday August 3rd – Day
  • Banquet – Saturday August 3rd – evening
  • March in the Pride Parade – Sunday August 4th

Tournament Social Events:

Accommodation:

We are in the process of blocking a limited number of rooms for just $269 Cdn, that’s $200 US (2 x queen, non smoking) at the Holiday Inn & Suites on Old Lillooet Rd. in North Vancouver.  It’s just a 6 min drive to the rinks, 15 by transit and just a 30 minute walk! There are also many hotels and apartments for rent in downtown Vancouver but August 3, 4, 5 is a long weekend in BC so rooms are filling up fast!

Rink Information

Games will be held at Canlan Ice Sports in the North Shore. The public bus takes you straight to the arena from downtown Vancouver and the West End Village. It is located off of Highway #1 at the north end of the Second Narrows Bridge. It has 3 NHL-sized ice surfaces, complimentary parking lot and unobstructed upper level licensed viewing area.

Wild Wing Restaurant overlooks all 3 ice surfaces and provides a comfortable environment to view games or to relax in afterwards with your teammates. Bag storage will be available at the rink.
